Ninja is free, runs entirely on your phone and never receives your videos. These terms are short because there isn't much for them to govern.

Who these terms are with
Ninja (listed as Ninja Video Compressor on Google Play and Ninja Video Compress & Convert on the App Store) and this website are published by Aviad Katani (Katani Labs) — "we" below. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's standard end-user license agreement also applies; from Google Play, Google's terms do. These terms add to theirs.
Using Ninja
Ninja is free. You may use it for any lawful purpose, personal or professional, on as many devices as you like. There are no accounts, no subscriptions and nothing to buy.
Your videos stay yours
Everything you process in Ninja stays on your device, and we never receive it — so we claim no rights over it and have nothing to license from you. You're responsible for having the right to edit, convert and share the videos you work with.
Your originals
Ninja won't move, replace or delete an original until the compressed copy has passed nine checks, and you choose what happens to it. Some choices can be undone — the Ninja Vault, your phone's Trash, and a ten-second undo after each batch. "Delete permanently" can't be undone, by us or anyone. Keep backups of anything you can't afford to lose.
Open source
Ninja includes open source software, listed on the licenses page. Those licenses give you rights these terms don't limit. In particular, you're permitted to modify the LGPL-covered libraries for your own use and to reverse-engineer Ninja to debug such modifications.
No warranty
We build Ninja carefully, but it's provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Phones, encoders and file formats vary more than any test can cover. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for lost data, lost videos or any indirect damage arising from using the app or this website. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't be waived under the law where you live.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will appear here with a new "last updated" date.
